Since May 31st was National Macaroon Day as well as the last day of National Hamburger Month and Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month, we started the ride with some Macaroons from the Bakeshop by Woops in Williamsburg and had a group photo with Bruce Lee… We made our way to Petey’s Burger in Astoria and had some In-N-Out influenced burgers as well as their very own Petey Melt, which’s a “totally awesome” merge of grilled cheese sandwich and a hamburger!!! We weren’t sure if we could finish the ride due to the ever changing weather report forecasting afternoon thunderstorm, but I guess the guardians of foldie foodie were looking out for us… we made it safely and dry to our last stop the Moon Cafe in Flushing for some East-West Fusion desserts. Who knew Ice Cream and Toast goes so yummy together???
